Winter
From December to mid-March, the winter in Madrid is dry and cold, with temperatures that can go well below 0°C at night. From the middle of March through to May, the long spring days are generally warm and can often be quite windy, and the nights are cool. Rain is common at this time of the year.
Summer
The June to August summer months are a good time of the year to visit Madrid, especially to enjoy the long, warm June nights. In July and most of August, the city gets very hot and doesn't cool down much at night. Rain is infrequent, but there are occasional summer storms.
The temperature in the autumn months, from September to November, is very pleasant, particularly after the intense July sun, although in late autumn, there is always the risk of a little rain.
