Barcelona Airport Hotels

Barcelona city is only 20 minutes from the airport by regular rail service therefore specific airport hotels at this airport are less popular. Many travellers needing an overnight stop find it equally convenient to make use of the wider selection of hotels located southeast of the city.

Best Western and Expo hotels

The Best Western Alfa Airport Hotel is the closest to the airport, a mere 2kms from the main terminals. Its a comfortable, modern 4 star hotel with plenty of indoor and outdoor facilities. There are also a couple of Hotel TRYP options offered under collective management with three or four star choices, recently built specifically to serve the airport. Alternatively, the next quickest journey to a hotel from the airport by public transport is the Expo Hotel, which is right outside the Sants Station.

A handful of hotels are located within 10kms of the airport and are also suitable for overnight stops, with the added bonus of being able to enjoy central Barcelona without a long journey to and from the airport.

If you have an early morning flight to Barcelona then avoid getting up in the middle of the night and travelling to the airport by booking into an airport hotel the night before you fly. You can wake up only minutes by shuttle bus from the airport terminal and leave your car in the secure hotel car park for the duration of your trip.
