Lima Weather
Lima is well known for its garua (mist) which usually covers the city between May and October. During this time, the city takes on an ethereal atmosphere, creating an unusual experience for visitors. Generally, the weather in Lima is very pleasant year-round.
Winters
Winter in Lima begins in June, with average temperatures of 15C. Winters are damp, cloudy and generally cool. Officially, the winter season ends in October, but by late September the temperatures begin to rise again as spring emerges. During these cool months, locals enjoy visiting the countryside restaurants in the nearby Rimac Valley.
Sunny summers
Summer begins in December, with bright sunshine stretching all the way through to May. The temperature rises to about 24C and the humidity increases. The sunny and warm summers lead to wet and cool winters. The beach season is from December to April.
