Rotorua Weather
Rotorua enjoys a temperate climate, which means that it has pleasant temperature for most of the year. Because of its geographical location, New Zealand experiences Christmas in the summertime.
Lovely summers
The warmest months are in January to March, with temperatures ranging from 20C to 27C. During summer, the beaches are crowded and the parks ablaze with a myriad of colours and sunbathers. There is little rain in summer and there is usually a short drought period.
Pleasant winters
The coldest months are July and August, with temperatures between 10C to 12C. Snowfall is rare here and records show that since 1964, it has snowed less than five times. However, occasional hail can be expected, while frost is common during the winter.
