Whether you want a posh room with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge or just a pillow to lay your head on, San Francisco has got it all. Where to stay

When to visit

There’s no bad time to visit San Francisco. Summer sees the most tourists, as they take advantage of the warmest and driest part of the year to explore the city. Most of the major festivals, concerts and events happen during the summer as well. But spring and fall also offer lovely weather and fewer crowds. You can catch the city in a more personal mood and probably have a better experience. Winter is consistently cold and rainy, which doesn’t appeal to most people.
