Nashville Leisure

Nashville has teams on the NFL and NHL, whose home games are well-attended by their devoted fans. The natural beauty of the Tennessee hillsides is one of the area’s greatest assets, and can be enjoyed at one of the many state parks in or around Nashville. Hiking, biking, swimming or boating can be enjoyed at one of these magnificent facilities.

Spectator sports

The NFL’s Tennessee Titans football team play home games at the newly built Adelphia Coliseum. The Coliseum is state-of-the-art and is quickly becoming known as the NFL’s loudest stadium, thanks to the scores of fans who have waited patiently for a professional football team. Hockey fans will enjoy the bone-crushing action of the Nashville Predators. Joining the NHL in 1998 as an expansion team, the Predators won on the ice, also winning the hearts of Nashville fans.

Hiking

At the Warner Parks Nature Center, visitors can get to know the ecological diversity of Tennessee first-hand. Go hiking on more than 10 miles of trails, listen to lectures on environmental concerns and conservation, or take part in a guided tour of the wildlife preserve. Protecting the environment is the focus here, but this is also a first-rate outdoor facility, designed to be enjoyed by families together.

Golf

Nashville boasts an attractive assortment of beautiful golf clubs and courses, a number of which have striking views of the surrounding countryside. Located on the outskirts of Nashville, the Country Hills Golf Course is within easy reach of the city centre. With 18 holes, scenic views and good golfing facilities, the Country Hills Golf Course is open to the public. The Shelby Bottoms Park and Golf Course, on Nashville’s eastern side, is home to a wealth of attractions suitable for the whole family, together with a popular 18-hole public golf course and further sporting facilities.
