Maui Weather

Maui enjoys a typical tropical island climate, with hot sunny days and rainy winters. Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, Mauis weather is mild year-round and is tempered by the ocean. The west and south, where most of the resorts are located, are the sunniest and driest parts of Maui.

Colourful spring

Winter and spring, which fall from mid-December through mid-April, are high season. The roads in Maui are full of lilac-coloured blossoms in spring, while winter boasts plenty of humpback whales that start to arrive in Maui in November.

The coldest months are December and January. Average temperature in the afternoon during the winter is about 24C, whereas it can reach 32C in the summertime. The quietest season is autumn, so if youre looking for some peaceful time to relax amid beautiful nature, this is your season. The island is usually packed during Christmas, New Year and spring-break period.
