In a city as large and sprawling as Los Angeles, location is everything. Make sure you take some time to plan your trip and find accommodation which is conveniently placed. A lot of time and money has been spent rejuvenating the area, and it is considered to be safer and more attractive than it was a few years ago. West Hollywood in particular is a livelier area than downtown, with plenty of restaurants and nightlife.
