Key West Weather

The tropical paradise of Key West offers a sunny climate with cool ocean breezes, characteristic of the conditions in South Florida, making it the ideal holiday destination.

Wet and hot season

The wet season runs from around June through to November, and July and August are the hottest months of the year. The average low and high temperatures in July are 81F and 90F, respectively. Prevailing easterly trade winds and sea breezes bring relief from the usual summertime heat. Rain and wet conditions rarely last long, although the latter part of this season also brings chances of hurricanes. Rainfall usually occurs in advance of cold fronts in a few heavy or light showers.

Winter

The winter months see a quite mild climate and lots of fine weather, with daytime temperatures typically rising above 75F. Wintertime also sees the driest months of the year, and the smallest amount of rain falls between February, March and April.
