Key West Transport
Due to limited parking, narrow streets and congested traffic, driving a car in Old Town Key West can be inconvenient. Unless your hotel is far away from downtown, riding a bike is a good option. The island is small and flat, making it easy to negotiate. Many tourists also choose to tour by moped, a potentially risky option, particularly as there are no helmet laws in Key West. Hundreds of visitors sustain serious injuries each year.
By bus
The City of Key West Department of Transportation operates four colour-coded bus routes that cross the island from 06:30 to 23:30. Signs with a bus symbol indicate stops. Schedules are available on buses and at hotels, visitor centres and shops. An all-day pass can purchased onboard.

The Key West Park n Ride service, located on the corner of Grinnell and Caroline Streets, is another option. Shuttles go to the downtown area and a range of landmarks throughout the day.
