Jacksonville Weather

Jacksonville experiences a sub-tropical climate that is typical of the state of Florida, seeing year-round warm temperatures and a significant level of humidity and precipitation during the summer months. With temperatures rarely dropping below 18C, Jacksonville is a destination that attracts visitors year-round.

Summer and winters

The summer season can be exceptionally hot with correspondingly high levels of humidity, and while plenty of tourists head here between the months of June and September, they do so knowing that temperatures can reach in the 30s (C) and that the chances of afternoon storms, particularly in July and August, are high.

Winters see a considerable drop in the temperature, with the months of December and January seeing the lowest figures, but also equally low rainfall figures. The spring and autumn months are perhaps the best times to visit the city as temperatures are exceedingly pleasant and volumes of rainfall are less significant than at the height of summer.
