Honolulu Weather

Honolulu enjoys a tropical climate, situated as it is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It enjoys warm, sunny weather year-round through two long seasons; summer and winter. Temperatures usually hover around the upper 20s throughout the year, with summer temperatures in the 30s and winter temperatures rarely dropping below 20°C. As for rain, the wettest time of the year is the winter surfing season.

Summer

The summertime in Honolulu extends all the way from May to October, with daytime temperatures approaching the mid-30s along with warm nights. The climate is also very dry during the summer, making beach life particularly attractive, although showers are not uncommon.

Winter

The winter season extends from November through April and is a bit of a misnomer as the temperatures hardly deviate from the summer, with very sunny, warm days boasting temperatures well into the mid-20s, and balmy nights. Rainfall is much more prominent in the winter than in the summer however, when it can rain for days on end; although not to the extent of typical monsoon downpours.
