Daytona Beach Restaurants
Fans of dining out will find Daytona Beach literally packed with restaurant venues covering most of the conceivable popular cuisines. Catching the sunset while tucking into a hearty steak, seafood platter or an international dish is a popular evening pastime for residents and visitors alike.
Local Cuisine
Since the city is right next to the sea, it is no surprise that seafood has such a significant role in the Daytona’s local cuisine. The list of dishes on offer is endless but favourites for starters undoubtedly include clam chowder, grouper fingers, crab cakes and shark bites. Main dishes worth checking out include seafood platters with crab legs, oysters and mussels while those wanting something a little more exquisite can try the lobster bisque or jumbo prawn dishes.

Where to eat
Staying strictly in the city, you’ll find some great seafood eateries on South Atlantic Ave while those prepared to venture out a little into the greater Daytona/Volusia County area will find some excellent venues at St Ponce Inlet and Port Orange Bridge. For those wanting something a little heavier to get their teeth into, the city has plenty of grills and barbecue restaurants where the meat is abundant and comes in large portions. Check out the Speedway Boulevard area if grill restaurants are your thing.
Daytona Beach also offers a good selection of international eateries with the cuisines of countries such as France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Germany, China and India among those represented. Within the city, Main Street is a good place to head for some foreign food while Ormond Beach is also home to a number of different venues.
