Cincinnati Weather

Cincinnati has four distinct seasons which vary dramatically in temperature. Peak season is in the summer months of July and August, but if you prefer to visit when things are slightly less frenetic, April, May, September and October are excellent months to visit, as there are less crowds and the weather is warm and pleasant.

Summer/winter

Summers in Cincinnati are hot and humid, with the hottest temperatures occurring during July and August. During this time, daytime temperatures can reach up to 29°C. Summer can also bring sudden thunderstorms as a result of the increasing humidity. The thunderstorms are usually welcomed, as they tend to cool and clear the air.

Winters in Cincinnati run from November until February. The coldest month of the year is January, with daytime temperatures dropping as low as 2°C and the entire period usually sees snow storms as well as rain and sleet.

Spring/autumn

Cincinnati enjoys pleasant spring temperatures, although spring can also bring with it periods of rainy weather. Autumn also enjoys warm temperatures and is the driest season of the year.
