Atlantic City Transport

Nine casino hotels are located on the boardwalk, within easy walking distance of one another. If you don’t want to walk, jeepneys are a popular service and run from casino to casino 24 hours, as well as making trips to the marina casinos situated further out.

By bus

For those who want to explore, city buses travel throughout the city and connect with the suburbs, although they are less useful for travelling to the casinos and nearby shopping and dining establishments.

By train

NJ Transit’s Atlantic City Line is the only rail service available in the beach town, connecting it with Philadelphia and stopping at six NJ stations along the way.

Taxis

Marked, metered taxis are plentiful in Atlantic City and can be found at bays outside every casino hotel’s valet parking area, or easily flagged from the street.

Tourist services

Along the boardwalk, you can take a romantic ride for two in a wheeled wicker chair. These are often available for hire at casino entrance doors along the beachfront. Alternatively, you can hop on a blue tram, which frequently travel the planks between the casinos.

From the airport

The airport is 10 miles from the beach and taxi services are available from outside the terminal, where you can also catch a ride with the Yellow Van service. These can accommodate up to 12 persons per vehicle as well as catering for those with disabilities. Car rentals are available from inside the terminal; advanced booking is recommended. Public buses also run from the airport, servicing the suburbs and region.
