Atlantic City Restaurants

Dining options at the casino range from snacks and ice cream to white-linen steakhouses, specialty themed restaurants and extravagant buffets. However, a fantastic assortment of dining options await visitors when they venture outside of the casinos.

Local cuisine

For something truly local, don’t miss out on White House Sub. It’s renowned in New Jersey for its huge, tasty sandwiches, made with the freshest Italian rolls and bursting with meat and cheeses. The walls of White House Sub are lined with pictures of famous people who’ve eaten there, from Sinatra to the Beatles and it’s not unusual to see the surrounding sidewalks lined with people waiting for their sandwiches. For casino dining, the newest addition Borgata’s, has fast become renowned for its fine fare. Other options include the Bacchanal, if you want to gorge Roman style in Caesar’s themed restaurant; or the Fantasea Reef Buffet at Harrah’s, for as much local seafood as you can manage.

Where to eat

At The Walk, the nearby outdoor outlet shopping area, Babalu serves some fantastic Latin and Cuban dishes. Babalu has been voted one the top restaurants in the country by Hispanic magazine. For a taste of the sea, try Dock’s Oyster House, a family-run establishment for more than 100 years. The Knife and Fork Inn is a similarly famous restaurant in the area, and the steak and seafood specialist recently renovated its original 1927 building.
