Aspen Transport
Aspen is a truly pedestrianised town and you can get everywhere in a matter of minutes by walking. However the town runs a free shuttle bus throughout the city which starts and ends at the Rubey Park Transit Centre on Durante Street in the heart of downtown Aspen. Buses run from 06:00 until 17:00 daily but the schedule and routes change depending on the season. Taxis can also occasionally be found waiting for a fare and you can always rent a bike from one of the many bike shops in the town.
By bus
The Roaring Fork Transit Authority operates the town’s only public bus system. This is a free shuttle running a regular route around the city limits and out to the airport between 06:00 and 17:00 every day. The terminus is at the Rubey Park Transit Centre next to the pedestrian mall downtown and offers schedules, routes and other information. From there you can also get connections to a handful of destinations further afield like Snowmass, Basalt, Glenwood Springs and the Maroon Bells for a small fee.
