Cancun Leisure
One of Cancun’s leading attractions is its stunning beaches and variety of water sports on offer. There are, however, many more sports and recreational options inland for those who are looking to get active on their holiday. Regardless of whether you like to get your adrenalin pumping with extreme sports or you prefer discovering nature at a slower pace, you will find plenty of leisure pursuits to keep your interest during your holiday here.
Bungee jumping
Cancun was the first city in the whole of Mexico to offer this extreme sport. Today, Cancun has three bungee platforms, with the most famous one found on a dock at Playa Tortugas. This platform is 20 meters high and is certainly not for the faint-hearted.

Jeeps can be hired for just one day or for multiple days, allowing you to see as much of the island as you wish.
Lobster dinner cruise
After a hard day exploring the jungles and sights of Cancun, take the time to relax and enjoy the city at night. River cruises provide guests with the chance to enjoy a romantic meal for two, a dinner out with friends or somewhere to simply get away from it all. Watch the sun go down as you’re enjoying a feast of lobster and other seafood delights, then sit back and enjoy the views.
Hiking
Tres Rios Eco-park can be found just 10 minutes away by car from Playa del Carmen. It is a very popular daytrip for those who live in or visit Cancun, as it offers the chance to explore its nature reserve and marvel at the wonderful species living here. There are numerous nature trails to follow as well as scuba diving opportunities. If you would rather hike through ruins, visit one of the archaeological sites and follow the path of ruins and relics.
Water sports
Cancun offers its visitors the chance to relax on golden beaches and swim in the deep blue ocean. Endless hours can be had enjoying all of the activities that the beach has to offer. Popular options include swimming, sunbathing, beach volleyball, banana boat rides, jet-skiing and windsurfing. The beaches which are found in the hotels zone are all popular with beach and water sports enthusiasts.
If you would like to scuba dive or snorkel, the beaches at the northern end of the island are home to all kinds of marine life such as crustaceans, molluscs, sponges, coral and tropical fish.
