Sweltering summer

Summer in Beirut can be seriously hot, with temperatures soaring up to 40°C; however, it usually averages between 30°C and 35°C. The summer conditions are great for swimming and enjoying some of the lovely beach resorts, and these are popular activities here. July to September is the hottest time of the year, and rainfall is extremely rare during these months.

Cool, wet winters

The weather conditions in spring and winter are generally pleasantly cool, with the odd very cold evening possible. If you are travelling between December and March,
it’s good idea to bring some sweaters, especially for the evenings. December, January and February tend to have plenty of wet days, with around 12 to 15 inches of rain falling each month. February is a busy tourist month in Beirut, as this is the most popular time for skiing.
