Where to eat

One of the most popular destinations for tourists and locals alike is The Quay. The area bustles with an array of bars, cafs and restaurants that are suitable for a lunch-time snack or an evening meal. It offers a great variety of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, so you shouldn't have any problems finding and choosing something that will satisfy you. Custom House provides a wide selection of both meat and fish dishes in their 1st floor restaurant or al fresco dining on the waters edge. Nearby, Corkers specialises in fresh fish and shellfish and is open all-day for food and drinks. Branksome Beach is a terrace bar and caf overlooking the sea and offering lunch and evening meals. It's also a great place to visit for a relaxing drink while watching the boats in the bay. In the town centre, Mansion House is an elegant Georgian townhouse built in 1779 and restored to an award-winning hotel and restaurant. It has some of the best dining to be found in Dorset. The menu is imaginative and uses the best quality ingredients sourced locally.
