Manchester Weather
While England in its entirety is famed for its poor weather, Manchester has something of a reputation all of its own for its relentless precipitation. However, with average annual rainfall figures of 809mm, this reputation is somewhat undeserved.
The city is noted for its damp and humid climate, a feature that played a key part in its success as a cotton producer. Manchester is also subject to moderate wind speeds, snowfall and temperatures.
Summer
Summer in the city can be pleasant, depending on what's happening in the rest of the country, and temperatures can reach well into the 20°Cs. The weather can be changeable though and rainy spells should always be anticipated.
