Liverpool Weather

Like the rest of the United Kingdom, Liverpools climate is highly unpredictable with a seemingly random mixture of sunny, rainy, windy and cloudy days. Its virtually impossible to forecast the weather, so the best advice is to come prepared for anything and everything. That means packing the right selection of clothes, with at least one or two warm outer layers and the all-essential rain jacket. Layering your clothes is the best way to approach the climate in Liverpool. This system enables you to remove and put on layers as the weather changes.

Hot summers

Despite the natural unpredictability of Liverpools weather, summers are typically warm and sunny. With its northern latitude, the days in June, July and August are long and pleasant. The mood is noticeably merrier and more active and thus its the busiest time of year for tourism. Summer temperatures average around 20C, which is comfortable by any standards.

Wet winters

Winters, on the other hand, are consistently cold and wet. Many would go so far as to call a Liverpool winter downright miserable. But on the upside, you wont have many tourists to contend with. Just be sure and bring plenty of warm clothes and superior rainwear, because temperatures average about 4C until the break of spring in late April.
