Jersey Transport
The only public transportation option on Jersey is the bus, which covers all of the island. Taxis are also available in most of the towns. Cars and mopeds can be rented in St Helier, offering the most flexible transport option.
By bus
Public buses operate throughout the island and offer the best way to get around if you dont rent a car. The bus network centres around the bus and coach station at Weighbridge in St Helier, and from there goes to virtually every spot on Jersey. Explorer tickets can be purchased for one, three, five or seven days of unlimited travel, at Connex in St Helier.
Ferries
Ferries operate regularly throughout the year between Jersey and the other Channel Islands. The most frequent service goes to Guernsey.
Taxis
Taxis are available in the main tourist areas of Jersey. You should have no problem flagging one down in St Helier or some of the other main towns. Otherwise, you can phone for a pickup. The rates are reasonable and Jerseys taxi drivers are friendly and honest.
From the airport
There are three ways to get from the airport to your destination on Jersey. The easiest option is to simply hire a taxi, which will be waiting outside the main Arrivals area. The cost to most hotels in St Helier is quite cheap. You can also take the public bus which departs from the Arrivals hall every 30 minutes throughout the day. This bus stops at St Aubin, St Peter, St Brelade and finally St Helier. If you have already booked a room in a hotel, it is quite possible that they will provide transportation form the airport to the hotel, so check with your lodging. Car hire is also available at the airport. Despite the small size of the island, traffic makes travelling rather slow, so budget your time accordingly.
