Calderdale Industrial Museum

This museum captures over one and a half centuries of work and life in the Pennines. The Calderdale Industrial Museum recreates the labour of numerous industries, providing you with an impression of the smells, sounds and sights of Halifax over the decades.

Piece Hall Art Gallery

This art gallery dates from 1779, when it functioned as a cloth hall. At the present day, the building houses contemporary exhibitions. The Piece Hall has a distinctive 18th century ambience, and several TV programmes and feature movies have used this location in filming, including the film Brassed Off.

Halifax Parish Church

This impressive church dates from the 15th century and contains the original Norman church's masonry, featuring distinctive Norman chevrons. Some of the church walls date from the 12th century. This religious building still serves the people of Halifax. The church is open daily from 09:00 to 16:00, providing a much needed oasis of serenity and a warm welcome.
