Be Safe in Falmouth
In general, Falmouth is a safe town and crime rates are low. However, like any other well-visited tourist spot, keep your wits about you, particularly when withdrawing money from ATMs, and always make use of metered taxis rather than walking alone at night.
Pickpockets might be active in certain parts of the town. Use common sense concerning where you leave your valuables, and dont keep your wallet in your back pocket, strap your handbag around your waist or put valuable belongings in a bum bag.
Like elsewhere in Great Britain, the tap water is drinkable and disease epidemics rarely occur, although you should refrain from having sex without using condoms as with anywhere else on the globe at present time. Healthcare in the town is excellent.
Safety
Falmouth is a safe place in terms of crime. Obviously, you should always be extra cautious when travelling to unknown destinations. Some thieves are specialised in recognising inattentive tourists. Leave your valuables at home or locked away in your hotel safety deposit box. Never leave belongings in your car and be extra careful when you visit crowded places. The best piece of advice is to be aware of whats going on around you.
