Cambridge Weather

Cambridge weather is typical of England and often changeable, although long periods of the year are fairly mild. During the summer months, Cambridge sees many fine and often very sunny days and the weather is generally warm. However, the weather can be quite unpredictable and temperatures vary.

Spring and summer

Spring, during March, April and May, is a particularly good time to visit, with fairly mild weather, although some days can be rainy and windy. Many trees begin to flower during this season and some of the citys parks and gardens are full of countless snowdrops and daffodils. The summer months of May, June, July, August and September bring generally warm temperatures, and rowing on the Cam River during this time is popular.

Winter

Winter falls in November, December and January and can bring soggy weather and fewer sunny days. Snow is rare, but days are often cold, clear and frosty. However, there is often some fine, sunny weather at this time of year. For those planning to visit outdoor locations, an umbrella is always useful to carry.
