Brighton Leisure
Brighton beachfront is a vibrant playground offering swimming, surfing, sailing, skateboarding, basketball, volleyball and lots more. If you prefer land-based activities, there are plenty of spectator sports on hand away from the water; enjoy a day at Brighton Races or a night at Brighton Greyhound stadium.
Football
Football is one of Brightons most popular spectator sports and the citys main football team is called the Brighton and Hove Albion football club. They play regular matches at the Withdean Sports Complex and Fitness Centre in Tongdean Lane, and plans are well on track for a new stadium to be built in Brighton.
Golf
Brighton is home to some outstanding golf courses, located in and around the area of Brighton and Hove. Many of Brightons golf courses offer excellent views of the city. There is also mini-golf available for the young and young at heart. Some of the main golf courses in Brighton and Hove include the Brighton and Hove Golf Club on Devils Dyke Road, Hollingbury Park Golf Course on Ditchling Road and Windmill Mini-Golf Course on 8, Marine Drive.
Hove Lagoon
The Lagoon is a shallow lake suitable for windsurfing beginners. A water sport centre also offers courses in sailing and windsurfing and runs powerboat and banana boat rides and hosts a range of group and corporate events. More advanced water sports enthusiasts can have a go on the sea behind the lagoon. A smaller boating lake is also available with rowing boats for rent by the half hour from the caf next door and a large children's play area, paddling pool and putting green. Water sports
Located next to the sea on the southern coast of England, Brighton is a great location for water sports and offers good conditions for sailing, surfing, wind surfing, waterskiing and swimming. The main swimming pool in Brighton is the Prince Regent Swimming Complex at Church Street in the North Laine area.
