Brighton Transport
Brighton is a fairly compact city and often the best way to get around is to walk. However, a well developed bus network, operating in Brighton and Hove, makes it easy and convenient to get around with frequent services. See :
www.visitbrighton.com/ for more information on walking and cycling around Brighton.
By bus
Brighton and Hove provide an excellent bus service, operated by the Brighton & Hove Bus and Coach Company, with regular connections and good value for money. With several efficient bus lanes, buses are able to travel quickly around the Brighton area. The buses stop every few minutes on the major bus routes. Many buses offer easy access for wheelchair users. Since 2001, a flat rate fare has been in use across the area from Shoreham in the west, Patcham and Falmer in the north and Newhaven in the east, together with a range of SAVER day tickets and longer period options.
