Bournemouth Weather

Bournemouth weather is typically English and frequently unpredictable. The towns beaches are often busy during summer as the sunshine begins to warm up the tempting blue waters. Being located next to the sea, Bournemouth is often milder than many areas inland.

Spring and summer

Spring (March to May) is a particularly popular time for visiting Bournemouth with generally mild weather, although some days can be rainy and windy. Summer (June to September) sees many fine and often very sunny days and a generally mild climate. However, the weather can be quite variable and the morning may well begin somewhat overcast and soggy but by afternoon, the sun may be shining and the temperature rising.

Winter

Winters can be long and soggy, but snow is unusual despite frequently cold, frosty days. December, January and February are the coldest and wettest months, though some fine, sunny weather does occur.
