Blackpool Weather

Situated in the county of Lancashire in the northwest of England, Blackpool is subject to the erratic weather conditions that are typical of this region of the country.

Sunny summers and bitter winters

Summers can present relatively high temperatures (20 C to 25C), but equally, they are sometimes only mildly warm and subject to significant precipitation. If the entire country is experiencing a good summer, then the months of July and August present the best opportunity to visit the town of Blackpool.

In the autumn period when the famous Illuminations are on show, temperatures can fall below 15C and rain is likely but not always easy to predict from one year to the next. Winters are cold, with temperatures in January and February often reaching freezing and snow not uncommon at this time.
