Birmingham Weather
Spring and summer
The best weather in Birmingham can be had between the months of May and September, with temperatures typically climbing to the high 20's in the summer months of July and August. Being in the centre of England, Birmingham often gets hotter than other major cities in the UK, although it is not immune to sudden changes in climate, where a perfectly clear day can turn into a wet and windy one in a matter of minutes.
Many tourists choose to visit Birmingham in the springtime months of March, April and May; a colourful time of year which sees less of the tourist hordes that are typical in the summer months. The spring, as with the autumn, sees more wind and rain and daylight hours are less than in the summer.
Winter
Those visiting in the wintertime will have to put up with short, cold days and a chance of snow. Winter is also the wettest time of the year in Birmingham, although cloudless sunny days are certainly not unheard of. If you are visiting Birmingham during this time of the year, it is advisable to bring along a thick coat, scarf and an umbrella.
