Weather In Aberdeen

Aberdeens climate is typically British, with damp, cold conditions looming on all but rare days with bright summer sunshine. Situated on the east coast of Scotland, Aberdeen endures less rainfall than western parts of the country, but is prone to gusty and often harsh winds blowing in off the North Sea. The air is clear and unpolluted. Although the seasons each bring their own particular weather, temperature changes are not very extreme.

Winter

Its position close to the sea means that winters are seldom extreme. December, January and February are the rainiest and coldest months, with daily temperature highs averaging 6C and frequent overnight frosts. Snow is rarely seen.

Summer

July is the warmest month, reaching an average high of 18C, although late spring (May) and early autumn (September) are often good times to visit for pleasant spells of sunny weather and less of the tourist crowds.
