Seville Weather

Seville is heavily influenced by the Mediterranean weather system and experiences some of Spain’s hottest temperatures, with scorching summers and winters that are still relatively warm. Fortunately, the weather is fairly predictable, so it makes things a good deal easier when choosing the best time to visit.

From the period June through to September, the sunshine is fairly relentless and temperatures can often reach highs of up to 40ºC. The evenings bring only minor respite, with temperatures still often around the 20ºC mark. Rain is also virtually non- existent during this time. Unless you like the heat and are a real sun worshipper, you should avoid visiting Seville during this time. However, despite the heat, August is the city’s busiest month in terms of visitor numbers.

Winters (November to February) see warm days and cool nights, and are a good time to visit if you are looking to escape the cold temperatures of the UK or other European countries with cold winters. However, the spring and autumn seasons are the best time to head for Seville, with temperatures during these seasons not excessively hot, while rainfall is moderate.
