Getting To Menorca
Menorca is an island, which means there are only two ways to get here, either by air or by sea. Ferry services operate from mainland Spain only and not from other countries, so for most holidaymakers, air travel is the only option for reaching the island. The airport, which is located close to the island’s capital, provides connections with mainland Spain and EU destinations.
By car
As Menorca is an island, there are no options for getting here by car. It is however serviced by several ferry routes, so passengers are able to take private or rental vehicles from mainland Spain.

The airport is located about four and a half kilometres to the southwest of Mahon, the island’s capital city, and is well served by public and private ground transportation options as well as a solid road network that provides easy access from the island’s major resorts.
By ferry
Transmediterranea operates ferry services from Barcelona, Valencia and Palma Mallorca to Menorca with a single crossing per day; departure times vary depending on the day.

Departures are served on P1 while arrivals are dealt with on P0. The terminal offers a good selection of passenger facilities which includes three ATMs and a variety of shopping and dining outlets. An information desk can be found on P1 and can be called on +34 (0) 971 157 000.
Menorca airport transportation
Buses connect the airport with Mahón leaving from outside the terminal at 30 minute intervals throughout the day. Taxis meanwhile can be hired from outside of Arrivals for journeys to Mahón, Ciutadella and other major destinations. By road, the airport can be reached by taking the PM-704 road, then the PM-702 and finally the 702-2.
