Getting To Marbella
Air travel is the most obvious way to reach Marbella, with Malaga Airport just 45 minutes away by car and providing connections with over 100 destinations across the globe. If air travel doesnt suit you for whatever reason, you can take a coach with Eurolines from a number of EU cities, which will bring you as far as Malaga. This is a cheaper, although considerably slower, alternative. Trains are also available, while for many people travelling to the Costa del Sol from other Spanish regions or neighbouring countries, a hire car is a comfortable and convenient option.
By car
Arriving from Malaga and destinations east of Marbella, take the N-340 towards Cadiz. Midway you will reach Fuengirola, from where you can either remain on the same road or take the 'Costa del Sol' toll motorway, with the latter option involving a fee but offering a considerably quicker route. From destinations north of Marbella, the A376 is the most significant road available, while from Estepona and other destinations west, the N-340 provides primary access.
