Malaga Leisure

With the long daylight hours and year-round warmth, Malaga offers unending opportunities to enjoy your favourite sports, from golf and soccer to swimming and water sports.

Golf

Golf is one of the big draws in Malaga and the rest of the Costa del Sol. There are literally dozens of courses here at all levels and green fees tend not to be so expensive when compared with other European golfing destinations. Facilities are generally excellent and the sunshine and views make for a great atmosphere.

Hiking and walking

With the sea and mountains in close proximity, breezy walks and water sports are a great opportunity for keeping active. Visitors can go climbing and hiking in the nearby mountains and then make it down to the coast for the afternoon to enjoy a whole slew of water sports. Waterskiing, windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving, and paragliding are all available and one of the best beaches in Malaga for sports activities is La Malagueta. This artificial beach has excellent facilities and apart from the water sports, offers mountain biking, jogging and good access for disabled visitors.

You could also catch up with Malaga’s Primera Liga football team at La Rosaleda, Malaga’s football stadium, which is located just to the north of the city centre.
