Because La Gomera is the least famous of all the Canary Islands, it is never really crowded. Finding accommodation on the island is therefore relatively easy. There are a lot of hotels, hostels and apartments on La Gomera, and you can choose a location that suits your taste the most. Airport hotels

La Gomera has its own small airport near Santiago. However, it is only served by local planes from Tenerife North Airport. You can stay anywhere on an island, as the airport is just a short drive from any location on La Gomera. International flights are operated by two airports on Tenerife: Tenerife North Airport and Tenerife South Airport.

If you arrive at Tenerife North Airport, you can transfer to the airport on La Gomera by air; however, if you arrive at the Tenerife South Airport, you will need to take a ferry to the port on the island. Tenerife South is only 30 minutes drive from Tenerife North.

Because Tenerife North is not located near to any big hotels or resorts, it is best to drive into Santa Cruz or Puerta de la Cruz, where you will find a plenty of lodging choices. Tenerife South Airport is newer and larger, with a few hotels situated very close to the terminal such as the Mediterranean Palace and the Hotel Tenerife Golf.
