Cordoba Weather
Cordoba is situated at the foot of the Sierra de Cordoba mountain range. The weather in the city is known to be the hottest in the region, with very hot summers lasting from June to September. Throughout this period, daytime temperatures can reach over 40°C with little or no rain. July and August can be unpleasantly hot, making it very difficult to withstand the temperature without air conditioning.
Winters are mild, with temperatures rarely falling below 5°C. Daytimes are a mix of clear blue sunny skies with overcast yet warm weather. The rains start in late September, but are rarely heavy for more than the first couple of days. Daily highs reach about 20°C and nights never fall below 10°C.
The best time to visit Cordoba is in the springtime, from March through to May. The temperatures during this period are very warm, but a lot more bearable than in the summer and the rain has stopped and there are clear blue skies.
