Be Safe In Cadiz
There are few health and safety concerns for visitors to worry about when on holiday in Cadiz. While all the usual precautions should be taken to prevent accident, theft or loss, a good travel insurance policy and health care cover will ensure you arent left out of pocket should the unavoidable happen.
Safety
Violent crime is not a big issue in Cadiz and pickpockets and bag snatchers are probably the biggest threat to holidaymakers. Take care of your cash and belongings in busy places, keeping both in places where they cannot be accessed easily by miscreants. Leave expensive jewellery back at the hotel, preferably in a safe in your room.

Health
Cadiz offers no obvious risks to the health of visitors and most hospital casualties are the result of overexposure to the sun, alcohol or both. Be sensible when sunbathing or out and about and always wear an appropriately factored sun cream. Be careful when drinking the local beer, it generally has a higher alcohol content than UK brews.
Travel insurance
Travelling to any foreign country brings inherent risks to the physical safety of holidaymakers and the possibility of loss, damage or theft of their cash and property. Taking out a comprehensive travel insurance policy is one way of ensuring that you arent left out of pocket in the event that you experience some misfortune.
EU visitors will qualify for free medical treatment in Cadiz provided their home country has a reciprocal agreement with Spain and they are in possession of the relevant documentation. Visitors from all other countries should make sure their holiday insurance has some provision for medical care.
