Weather In Benidorm

Benidorm has a typical Mediterranean climate with year-round sunny weather and favourable winters. It is largely sheltered by the surrounding mountains, meaning less wind and rain than other, more open destinations along the coast.

Spring and summer

With daily temperatures averaging around 20C in Benidorm in the spring and a fair amount of sun, not to mention the lack of holidaymakers and ease of finding accommodation; this time of year is very pleasant. The summers in Benidorm (May to October) are long and hot, with temperatures over 30C in July and August and more than 10 hours of sunshine a day. Summers are also fairly humid and sea temperatures are very nice at about 25C.

Winter

Many people choose to visit Benidorm in the winter, when the crowds are non-existent yet the daytime temperatures are still very acceptable when compared with other European destinations during this period. The coldest months in Benidorm are December and January, although most days still get around five or six hours of sun in these months and temperatures average at about 13C.
