All of this can be enjoyed at Puerto Marina in Benalmadena Costa, the old town of Benalmadena Pueblo, and at Arroyo de la Miel, while Benalmadenas many beaches offer great facilities for the whole family including most types of water sport activity.

Local cuisine
Tapas and seafood are very popular specialities in Benalmadena, with a profusion of eateries both on the coast and in Benalmadena Pueblo. Fresh skewered sardines (espetos) are a particular favourite in this region of the Costa del Sol, as with Malaga, while shellfish cooked with white wine (coquinas) are another must-try dish. Many Benalmadena restaurants offer excellent value for money, especially when a live show is thrown into the equation.
Nightlife and music
Puerto Marina is the main night-time hangout and is popular with tourists and locals. There are numerous bars, pubs and clubs here as well as karaoke and live music venues. Puerto Marina is very cosmopolitan and most venues stay open until the small hours and even until sunrise in the summer. Prices here are generally fairly expensive however, while the old town of Benalmadena Pueblo has slightly more reasonably-priced establishments.
Shopping
Puerto Marina is also great for shopping, as is Arroyo. Avenida Ricardo Soriano is Benalmadenas main shopping thoroughfare and it is a huge street with an endless supply of interesting shops and fashion boutiques. Avenida Ricardo Soriano is best seen on foot, although it will take you some time to cover everything that it has to offer.
