Alicante Weather
Alicante, located on the Costa Blanca in southern Valencia, is surrounded by hills and mountains to the north, almost creating a micro-climate. This, coupled with the southern latitudes and coastal location, results in a very mild climate. The sea helps to add a cooling effect and so even in August, the hottest month, temperatures are rarely above 32°C. The temperature can be cool in January, with as low as 7°C a possibility.
Sunny days
Rainfall is rare at any time of the year in Alicante and some years there is almost no rain at all. Like most places in this region there are a high number of sunny days, with low humidity, making it an ideal place for summer holidays, with sunbathing and water sports being very popular here.
The weather in winter is also pleasant, and with fewer tourists here everywhere is quieter. The beaches in July and August can be quite crowded.
