Alicante Airport Hotels

Alicante’s El Altet Airport is located just 15 minutes drive from the airport, so airport hotels are not a great necessity here. However for passengers who do need to have the quickest possible access to the airport, there are some options available.

Which hotels?

The Express by Holiday Inn hotel is the most convenient for airport and city access. The hotel is located just three miles from the airport and a similar distance to the city centre. The beach is only a mile and a half away. The hotel was opened in 2000, and has comfortable rooms, and good facilities, including, a bar and restaurant, conference rooms, and internet access.

The Ibis Alicante Aguamarga is another option here, with comfortable enough rooms, and reasonable facilities. It is not considered as good as the Express Holiday Inn, but is certainly fine for a short stop.

Where to stay

There is a vast range of accommodation choices in Alicante, with places to suit all budgets. The old quarter of Alicante has most of the cheaper accommodation options, and also the city’s best nightlife – so it can be quite noisy in this area. Many people chose to stay within a short walk of the beach, and there are plenty of hotels in this area.

In the old part of town the Pensión Les Monges is a good value hotel, priced below the average. It is comfortable with reasonable rooms, and situated in a pleasant spot in the older part of town, and there is a good atmosphere in this small hotel.

At the other end of the scale, the Sidi San Juan is a beautiful five-star hotel located on San Juan Beach. The hotel is surrounded by gardens with palm trees and they offer beauty spa treatments, golf and other sports, as well as some excellent cuisine.

Another high quality hotel here is Amérigo. The building was once a Dominican Convent and has been recently refurbished into a five-star hotel. It has everything you would expect of a top hotel, with excellent rooms and good facilities.
