Faro Weather

Faro is located in the Algarve region of Portugal and has four distinct seasons that differ in temperature and the amount of rainfall they receive. In general, it is the warmest region of the country, with winter temperatures remaining above 0C. On the other hand, even the hottest days during the summer seldom reach 40C. The climate, the regions beaches and the sunshine make Faro and the Algarve very popular with visitors, particularly in the summer months.

When to visit

Around five million tourists visit the Algarve annually between May and September, so off-season travel can be a good idea. The winters here are mild and spring is beautiful, with both seasons offering the benefits of fewer visitors, a wider choice of accommodation and significantly lower prices. In the spring, the region is lovely, when the almond trees and wildflowers are in bloom.
