Sicily Airport Hotels

Sicily is a destination in itself, so there’s really no reason to stay in a hotel near the airport. Travellers who fly into either of Sicily’s two airports should simply head into the nearest city, where there are plenty of hotels to choose from.

Where to stay?

Palermo’s airport is located next to the town of Punta Raisi, about an hour away from the city centre. There are a handful of places to stay in the area around the airport, but there’s no real reason to stay out there since shuttle buses runs regularly between the city and the airport.

Catania’s airport is just five kilometres from the city itself, so all of the hotels around this airport are in the city. Top hotels in Catania include the Excelsior Grand Hotel and the Romano Palace Luxury Hotel, both of which are five-star establishments, while those on tighter budgets will find a selection of moderately priced hostels, guesthouses and bed and breakfasts also available.
