Pisa Restaurants
As with the rest of the country, the Italian cuisine on offer in Pisa is delicious and visitors will not be disappointed. Choices are varied, with international options available for those who tire from Italian cuisine. During the warmer months, al fresco dining is popular, with dozens of restaurants concentrated in the four ancient quarters of the city.
Where to eat
Restaurants are mainly divided into three categories: ristoranti, trattorie and pizzeria. Within range of the Leaning Tower are a host of restaurants although more reasonable prices can be found at other locations, such as Campo dei Miracoli; the areas around Piazza Donati, Borgo stretto and via San Frediano; and along via Volturno, next to Piazza Solferino. Ice cream lovers should head to Piazza Vittorio Emmanuele on the southern side of the river for flavours that will tickle your taste buds.
