Weather In Bologna

The weather in Bologna is fairly predictable, and the city makes for a beautiful vacation nearly all year round. Weather to watch out for includes the winter rains and the hot summer weeks that traditionally see businesses and museums close.

Summer

Bologna’s hottest months are from May to September, bringing high humidity from the African winds and sometimes showers, with late spring and early summer highs of 25°C. At this time, the city also peaks in tourist travel. Average mid-summer temperatures are 27°C, with highs reaching 30°C. At the season’s peak in mid-August, the city empties, with many businesses, restaurants and museums closing for a few weeks; being a large university town, many students go home for the break and the remaining locals leave Bologna for holidays on the beach.
