Weather In Bergamo

Bergamo is situated on the plain of Lombardy, near the Italian Alps, in the northernmost part of Italy, and experiences a typical continental climate, with severe winters and warm summers, making spring and autumn the ideal seasons to visit.

When to visit

Although winter is not the high season, Christmas and Carnivale both draw visitors to this ancient Roman city. The summer temperatures dont usually exceed 30C and youll find events in June and July attracting a large number of visitors. In early July, the city honours its Celtic origins with the Celtic Days celebrations featuring music, cultural showcases and even gladiator fights. Also in the summer, from mid-June through the first week of July, Bergamos Summer Dance Festival is held.
