Weather In Killarney
Killarney has a temperate climate, due to mild southwesterly winds and the Gulf Stream, and it is cold and damp here for much of the year. The climate is dominated by the prevailing warm, moist winds from the Atlantic Ocean. Ireland is known as the Emerald Isle because of its striking verdant landscape, due entirely to the temperate climate and rainfall. Killarney does look beautiful in the rain however, and there's nearly always a pub open nearby to duck into.
Spring and summer
Summer (May to September) is the warmest and driest season, and the best time to visit, though attractions can get crowded in July and August, and some attractions are only open in the summer. If you go to Killarney in July or August, you can expect reasonably warm weather, long days and a lively menu of festivals. However, this is peak season, which presents some challenges if you're wanting a bit of solitude. Spring, on the other hand, is very mild, and also a quieter time to visit.

Winter
Winter is characterised by short, wet, foggy days and long nights, but the temperature rarely gets below freezing due to the tempering Gulf Stream winds that pound the west coast of Ireland. In many Irish towns, restaurants and B&Bs close around October and don't reopen until Easter. With a few advance phone calls, you can avoid getting stranded somewhere with no place to sleep or eat.
