Cork has a wide range of hotels, guesthouses and country houses from which to choose. Accommodation tends to be towards the top end of the market; however, the mid-range is also well catered for with many guesthouses and B&Bs. There is also a limited choice of budget accommodation including a number of hostels.

A good place to start looking is near the university on Western road, and near the train station, at the other end of town on Wellington road and Lower Glanmire road. Cork is a relatively small place, so you are likely to be within walking distance of the city centre irrespective of where you stay.

If you are looking for something a little farther afield then you might want to consider the historic town of Kinsale. It's a popular place and has an attractive marina and a good choice of accommodation.
